School and Library Visits

Would you like a published children’s book author to visit your School or library?

Troy conducts school visits and can conduct classes to fit into various Curriculum criteria.

Troy can conduct class and library readings of his published work and discuss the publishing process. Troy has many different props relating to the stages of publishing a book and can also talk about the process of creating "Sorry Wally"

Troy is advanced certified as a reef guide by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) and has extensive experience teaching Reef and marine ecology to all ages. He has worked on cruise ships as a Reef Naturalist, and for the GBRMPA and REEFHQ Aquarium, as A Reef Guide and education officer.

Troy is in the process of creating a package that will include topics of bullying integrated into the story reading of Sorry Wally and conduct class activities centered on the theme of bullying.

Troy charges a fee which can be discussed on application. Fee's may be waived if the school agrees to conduct fund raising activities with proceeds to be donated to the Mary MacKillop East Timorese Literacy Fund.

Troy can visit interstate schools and libraries, however costs and expenses will have to be negotiated.

Troy holds a Positive Notice Blue Card for child related employment.
