School and Library Visits
Would you like a published
children’s book author to visit your School or library?
Troy conducts school visits
and can conduct classes to fit into various Curriculum criteria.
Troy can conduct class and
library readings of his published work and discuss the publishing process.
Troy has many different props relating to the stages of publishing a
book and can also talk about the process of creating "Sorry Wally"
Troy is advanced certified
as a reef guide by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA)
and has extensive experience teaching Reef and marine ecology to all
ages. He has worked on cruise ships as a Reef Naturalist, and for the
GBRMPA and REEFHQ Aquarium, as A Reef Guide and education officer.
Troy is in the process of
creating a package that will include topics of bullying integrated into
the story reading of Sorry Wally and conduct class activities centered
on the theme of bullying.
Troy charges a fee which
can be discussed on application. Fee's may be waived if the school agrees
to conduct fund raising activities with proceeds to be donated to the
Mary MacKillop East Timorese Literacy Fund.
Troy can visit interstate
schools and libraries, however costs and expenses will have to be negotiated.
Troy holds a Positive Notice
Blue Card for child related employment.
