| Troy Mayne is an underwater photographer, photojournalist, and author based in Queensland, on the Great Barrier Reef. Born in Western Australia, he joined the Australian Army, serving for ten years. He has lived and travelled extensively all around Australia and the world. He served in East Timor and Iraq. He has been diving and photographing the underwater world for many years all over the Earth. Troy’s aim is to share the amazing underwater world with everybody, before it is gone. He hopes his books and photographs can inspire love and fascination for the ocean that will incite an urge to protect and preserve the ocean and all its amazing creatures. |

Troy considers himself very lucky to have enjoyed the experiences with Wally and the gang over the 5 years it has taken him to write and photograph all the books in the Wally series.
