The Wally Series of books is a wonderful and exciting new concept in children’s picture books. Never before have children’s picture books been illustrated with real photo’s like this before!

The Wally series of books are based around three central characters from the Great Barrier Reef, Wally the Napoleon Maori wrasse, and Casey and Shelly, the brother and sister green turtles. Each book in the series also contains many different fun and interesting characters that get involved along the way.

Children from every background will identify and relate with situations Wally and his friends get into and learn a moral and just way of dealing with them. All the major issues like bullying, stealing,  racism and exclusion, drugs, jealousy, friendship, envy, lying, fair play, and the environment are dealt with in a subtle, fun, and moral way.

They also include moral codes for children to follow, the story behind each book, and interesting facts about the animals and characters.

These beautifully made children’s books are soft cover, 48 page, A4, landscape, colour picture books with large clear type, and bright beautiful photographs bring the wonders of the incredible Great Barrier Reef to children.

The books are illustrated with real and stunning, somewhat almost unbelievable underwater photography taken by Troy, that have not been digitally manipulated. The photos are all real. You will not believe the poses the characters have been captured in, perfectly and cleverly illustrating each scene.

All the books in the Wally Series are recommended for children 6-10 years old.

Currently only Sorry Wally has been published. Stay tuned to this website for news on publishing dates for the rest of the series.

Join the adventures of these three lovable creatures from the Great Barrier Reef, Wally the Maori Wrasse and brother and sister Green Turtles, Shelley and Casey, as they get into all sorts of situations around the reef lagoon.

Follow the excitement as the three young reef creatures try to work their way out of danger and trouble and learn a valuable lesson each time.

These beautifully photographed and written stories feature characters from Australia’s Great Barrier Reef that are listed worldwide as endangered.

Each of these wonderful stories continues the tradition of the Wally series of books by bringing amazing, stunning and almost unbelievable real and non-manipulated underwater photography to children’s picture books. Each story contains a message to children to help them to learn moral values as they learn to read.

Wally is now friends with Casey and Shelley, and must fight time to try and save Shelley after she accidentally eats a plastic, carelessly discarded by some human children.

Wally must try to find help before it is too late. In desperation Wally heads to the surface to confront the humans to try and save Shelley.

After meeting the children who discarded the bag, the remorseful children vow too find help to save Shelley.

A Veterinarian arrives on the scene by helicopter to treat Shelley. Has he arrived in time to save Shelley? Will Shelley survive?

DUE FOR REALEASE IN MID 2008!

It’s race day at Reef School and Wally, Shelley and Casey are lined up to race each other around the reef school yard.

Shelley and Casey are determined to win at any cost, whilst Wally just wants to race fairly and have a good time.

On your marks, get set, go! Their off! Shelley and Casey push, tumble, fall, crash, bite, and cheat their way around the course.

Wally wants to have no part in their cheating ways, but is having a hard time keeping up whilst the two turtles race unfairly.

Who will get hurt? Who will win the race? Join the reef gang as they take you on a heart stopping, action filled race around reef school.

Follow Wally as he is left out of the game “Flip Ball” played by Casey and Shelley. Flipper Ball can only be played by animals with big flippers, normally only Turtles play, but Wally has big fins and believes he could play just as good as the turtles.

The two turtles will not let him play believing he could not and should not play their game.

So poor Wally tries to play the game with some of the other reef regulars, but no one else can play. Poor Wally feels alone and left out.

So Wally begs the Turtles to let him play. Shelley and Casey agree but have something nasty planned for Wally.

What will the turtles do to Wally? Will Wally be able to handle their game? Find out as those characters from Reef School battle it out in the School Reef Yard.

Wally returns as the bad boy of the lagoon as he steals Christmas from the inhabitants of the reef..

Being an orphan can be tough, and with no presents of his own, Wally sets out to steal his own presents from the other reef creatures.

No animals’ presents are safe as Wally steals their Christmas gifts from under their noses.

After Wally loses one of the gifts he has stolen he feels very sad but then realises how the other poor reef creatures must feel.

What will Wally do to make amends? Will the jolly be stolen from the lagoon, find out how Christmas turns out for the animals in the reef lagoon.
